Trump's Granddaughter Gets Professional Advice from Golf Legend Woods Before LPGA First Appearance
This young athlete boasts substantial social media presence
Kai Trump will have plenty of well-known cheerleaders when she starts her professional golf debut later this week.
This teenage golfer, who is the granddaughter of Donald Trump, obtained a special exemption to play at the Annika tournament in Florida.
Her grandfather, a passionate golfer, operates numerous international courses and frequently plays against Kai.
"He's fairly competent. I can't reveal details but we play some close matches," she revealed.
The golfer shared that her grandfather, unable to come, told her: "Just avoid anxiety."
"My grandpa practically told me to compete and enjoy myself," she explained.
"In my eyes, he's simply a regular grandfather. He won't be there this weekend. He's occupied with presidential duties, so he's rather occupied."
As an amateur, the golfer has played in a mere three competitions this year and holds the 461st position in the American Junior Golf Association rankings.
But she's able to receive tips from golf legend, in a relationship with Kai's mother.
"He represents the top athlete worldwide," the young golfer said.
"Furthermore, he's a more impressive individual. He told me to compete, relax, adapting to the flow."
Kai will face several top competitors in women's golf at the Annika, such as second-ranked the champion, British golfer Hull, Lexi Thompson and last year's winner Lilia Vu.
Officials stated that Kai's presence helps introduce the sport to new audiences, especially among the next generation.
The social media influencer has millions of followers and just introduced an exclusive fashion and living brand.
The competition starts at 17:30 GMT.
